MOUNT KILIMANJARO

Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa at 19,340 feet high. The physically challenging trek to the summit is spiritually rewarding, taken on by adventurers from all over the world. The journey to the top takes you through numerous microclimates and environments to reveal vast, unimaginable views of the Maasai steppe below. Treks up this ancient mountain can lead you through the Lemosho Crater Route, Lemosho Route, Machame Route, or the Rongai Route. Multiple routes provide the opportunity to select your desired length of time spent on the mountain (7 to 10 days), difficulty of ascent, and time spent hiking each day.

If a climb to its summit is not on your radar, foothill walks along ancient paths that carve through the mountain’s lower slopes are a great way to connect with the magic and rich culture of Kilimanjaro.

SEASONS

Kilimanjaro climbs and walks can occur throughout the year, with scheduled and private climbs occurring less often during the heavy rainy season from March to May. Elevation increases bring a drop in temperatures. We will provide a complete packing list so that you arrive prepared for your expedition!
